Areva Teleperm XS Control System Cabinet, Electrical Cabinet

Standard Design
For the construction of Teleperm XS systems, control system cabinets of the type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), IP30 protection rating, are typically used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable glands and a shielding busbar.
The cabinet is designed to withstand seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally located at the bottom.
In the standard cabinet, the module carriers are mounted in the middle area.

To the left and right of this, there are areas for mounting cabinet connecting elements and transceivers.
Connecting terminals are used to connect peripheral cables.
Other connection techniques, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible.
Field cables must be shielded and consist of twisted pairs of wires.
Buses are implemented within a cabinet using conventional cables, and outside the cabinet using optical fibers.
Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with area grounding as well as for systems with central grounding (ZEP).

Module Carriers
Depending on the application, different configurations of module carriers are used.
In the basic design, the module carrier has a continuous backplane bus and offers 21 slots.
If large amounts of signals need to be processed, expansion module carriers can be connected.
The following variants are also supported:
- split module carriers with two smaller, independent computers (10 slots each, each with its own fan and power supply)
- mixed configurations, such as a compact combination of a computer with the associated signal processing modules
