Finishing of sealing surfaces: The finishing of the sealing surfaces of the approximately 17m long tubes is performed by an NC-controlled feed unit and an NC-controlled facing slide with 2 ABS tool holders for either lathe tools, measuring sensors, or measuring probes. The workpiece is first measured via the measuring sensors in the slide heads and aligned by the adjustable roller supports. The tube is hydraulically tightened into position by the floating chuck once it is at a right angle and centered to the facing slide head. The interchangeable measuring sensors calculate how to process the surface.
