Schenk-Trebel Material Testing Machine Type RME 250 kN
• Load frame and drive unit by Schenk Trebel, year of manufacture 1985, total height approx. 3.3 m. Traverse stroke approx. 2 m
• Modernization around late 2003: Equipped with "testControl" control electronics from ZwickRoell
• Retrofit in 2010: Universal extension measurement system MultiXtens from ZwickRoell, with swiveling device and two pairs of gauge arms (see photo), plus a new testControl module
• Info: The testControl module operates with the current software "testXpert III" from ZwickRoell (one license for testXpert III version 1.51 is included in the price)
• Temperature chamber (see photo) that can be moved into the test area of the machine, built 2006 by RS-Simulatoren Prüf- & Messtechnik, heatable up to approx. 200°C; coolable with liquid nitrogen down to approx. –40°C
• Load cells: 250 kN and 50 kN (currently installed, see machine photo); additionally: 5 kN, 1 kN, and 500 N (see photo)
• 2 wedge specimen holders (see photo)

Accessories (according to the photos or the MultiXtens system) can be sold separately upon request.

Condition of the machine
The machine has been in use for testing until early 2026. Utilized for testing: The 50 kN load cell and traverse displacement sensor (both sensors last calibrated on 06.05.2024 incl. standard inspection). A fault in the drive servo amplifier (component in the testControl module) has led to frequent connection interruptions to the software and drive stop until the hardware and software are restarted, starting in autumn 2025. The servo amplifier or the entire testControl module will need to be replaced (cost information available from the supplier).
The 250 kN load cell was last calibrated on 11.02.2021 but has not been used for measurements since.
The other load cells, the MultiXtens system, and the temperature chamber have not been used or calibrated in recent years.
The two hydraulic clamping units visible in the machine on the photos will be removed and remain with the seller.
