The single-shaft shredder WL 8 is a proven classic for shredding wood waste of all kinds. It is used thousands of times in wood processing companies worldwide. Intuitive operation thanks to Siemens PLC control with touch display

To ensure that the electronics are optimally adapted to the machine, we design, build and wire our control cabinets ourselves. We use only high-quality components – for example, from Siemens or Rittal. Intuitively operated touch interfaces guarantee quick adjustments. Functions such as setting the slide timing or stop ensure a high throughput. The built-in overload protection also prevents damage to the machine.

No material bridging thanks to self-cleaning hopper design

The hopper performs several tasks. First, the material to be shredded is fed into it – manually, mechanically or via a conveyor belt. The generous opening also makes it easy to fill in very large parts. However, its special design, which is rounded at the front and thus effectively prevents material bridging, is decisive for the shredding process. Even with bulky parts, the shredder cuts itself free. If required, both hopper extensions and lids with gas springs are available.

Durable rotor bearings thanks to offset design

A rotor bearing must be particularly robust due to the extreme stress it is subjected to during the shredding process. To prevent dust or foreign matter from entering its interior, we have separated it from the machine frame. This also makes it very easy to maintain and access.
