NITON XL3t 980 GOLDD+ – a portable X-ray analyzer with a next-generation SDD detector featuring GOLDD technology.

GOLDD technology enables significant improvements in accuracy and measurement time. This detector is 10 times faster than a conventional PIN detector and up to 3 times more accurate than a conventional SDD detector. The NITON XL3t 980 GOLDD+ analyzer achieves a unique combination of a 50kV X-ray tube with optimized measurement geometry and a patented processor and software.

It allows for fast and accurate, simultaneous analysis of up to 28 elements: Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Pb, Bi, Ag, Pd, Sn, Sb. Additionally, the analyzer enables the analysis of precious metals: Au, Pt, Ir, Ru, Rh.
Analysis of light elements such as Mg, Al, Si, P without the use of helium is possible thanks to a special set of filters and a highly sensitive detector. Without helium, the determination of light elements is possible for concentrations above 0.x%.
A large library of spectral databases for alloys enables the identification of stainless steels, tool steels, chromium-molybdenum steels, and alloys based on nickel, cobalt alloys, copper-based alloys, titanium alloys, and zinc, zirconium, and aluminum alloys. The analyzer provides very fast measurement. The analysis time for typical alloys is less than 3 seconds.

An additional library for the analysis of light elements in the helium mode allows for the segregation and sorting of aluminum alloys such as:

cast alloys depending on the silicon (Si) or magnesium (Mg) content,
aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), and phosphorus (P) content in bronzes,
aluminum (Al) content in titanium alloys,
magnesium alloys (Mg),
zinc alloys with aluminum (Al).

The analyzer enables the analysis of:

all iron-based alloys (0.00x% – 100%) and non-ferrous metal-based alloys (0.00x% – 100%) and rare metals Hf, Ta, Re (0.00x – 100%)
precious metal alloys Au, Ag, Pd, Pt, Ir (0.00x%-100%).

The NITON XL3t 980 GOLDD+ analyzer operates based on BASIC PARAMETERS, meaning that it calculates the percentage content of elements based on a mathematical equation.
The analyzer also allows for the development of its own analytical programs:

an identification program that assigns a name, symbol, number, etc., to a known sample, and such samples will be identified by that name.
a program for quantitative chemical analysis (SuperChem Teach Mode) – based on its own standards, we create our own calibration curves for quantitative analysis.

The analyzer has a large, user-friendly, touch-screen display. The screen is color and tiltable, which facilitates reading the results during field work. It includes an integrated scanner and backlit alphanumeric sample identification codes.
The software allows you to store up to 10,000 results in the analyzer's memory or transfer them to a computer. Connecting the device to a computer and controlling its operation via a computer is possible using a traditional cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
It is supplied with two interchangeable batteries. One battery enables continuous operation for 8-10 hours without the need to recharge.
It has two libraries, 900 and 800.
