The Tecma Pack FM1200p box erector automates the process of forming flat-folded cardboard blanks into tray-style boxes. It forms and then glues the flaps to create regular tray boxes, ready to receive products.

A tray box is essentially a cardboard tray with raised side walls. This design facilitates the loading of products while providing good support during handling, storage, and transportation. This format is particularly suitable for packaged food products, trays, pouches, and items intended for quick shelf placement. Forming and hot melt gluing

First, the operator loads the cardboard blanks into the machine's magazine. Then, the FM1200P takes each blank and performs the various folds. Next, it forms the side walls and applies hot melt adhesive to the designated areas.

Finally, the machine discharges a formed and glued box to the next station. As a result, it provides packaging that is ready for manual or automatic filling. This process improves the consistency of the boxes and significantly reduces manual operations at the end of the line.

Integration into a packaging line

The Tecma Pack FM1200P can operate upstream of a loading station, a case packer, or a conveyor. Thus, the formed tray boxes can receive products directly before closing, labeling, or palletizing.

Furthermore, its programmable logic controller (PLC) facilitates cycle monitoring. The hot melt gluing system also ensures consistent box assembly. With a stated output of 1,200 boxes per hour, the machine meets the needs of industrial production lines that require a continuous flow.
