1. General Description
The draw-oil preparation system is designed for the optimal treatment of un-drawn tubes prior to the drawing process. A large-volume draw-oil bath ensures homogeneous wetting of the tube surface, providing uniform lubrication, reducing friction during drawing, improving the tube surface quality, and increasing tool lifetime.
A constant material flow as well as stable bath temperature and bath quality make this system a critical process step in efficient tube production.

• Uniform lubrication through full immersion in the draw-oil bath
• Tubes integrated in the tank walls serve for oil heating via the furnace heat-recovery system
• Oil circulation: Chemetall process, 12 cycles per hour
• Prevention of water pockets: Precise water dosing; compressed-air injection if required
• Bath composition control: Regular sampling
• Dosing station: Automatic adjustment of oil and water additives
