The Pieralisi Decanter is a high-capacity horizontal centrifuge designed for industrial applications that require efficient solid-liquid separation.
The decanter is used to separate two or more specific phases of differing densities, especially for clarifying liquids containing suspended solids. The separation of solids and liquids takes place inside a cylindrical-conical rotating bowl, where the heavier solid phase collects on the periphery and is continuously removed by an internal screw conveyor.
