The last service by Asco was performed in December 2016 at 12,032 operating hours. Since then, the machine has only run for an additional 603 hours due to an investment in a brand new production line. The machine’s total operating time is 12,635 hours (12,032 h at last service + 603 h extra use).

• Both the pump and the cylinder have been replaced.

ASCO’s automatic dry ice machine produces slices of varying thicknesses and two pellet sizes (3mm and 16mm) at the push of a button. The dies for the different sizes are integrated and selectable via the touchscreen—manual changeover is not required.

Theoretical output is up to 400 kg/h, depending on the type of product (block thickness or pellet size). According to the owner, the machine consistently produces at least 250 to 300 kg/h in practical use.
