In every economic and public sector calculation, waste transportation is a critical factor. Here, it is not so much the weight but rather the volume that matters. The continuously rising transport costs for this waste are becoming an increasing economic issue.

Proper disposal of large quantities of polystyrene or packaging film is particularly important in the retail sector. The VOLUME REDUCER ensures a volume reduction of up to 80 percent at this point. Bottles of any type and size, e.g., sparkling wine bottles, can be shredded effortlessly without the need for a compression mechanism.

It is also possible to unpack expired food products. Furthermore, reject items such as pharmaceuticals, data carriers, or counterfeit products can be rendered unusable. Food residues and organic waste, including bones, can be shredded, collected, and converted into electricity and heat in biogas plants using the VR60.

Consider, for example, a reverse vending machine for deposit bottles. PET bottles are compressed and held under lock and key until collection due to the presence of a barcode.

By using the VOLUME REDUCER, the barcodes on PET bottles could be made unrecognizable, thereby achieving significant volume reduction. The shredded bottles could then be collected in a large container, eliminating the need for daily collection at return points. The shredder's vertically moving, wear-free blades ensure a quiet and clog-free operation.
